A lightweight loop for authorized practice labs.

Flow

  1. Define scope and rules.
  2. Record assumptions before running tools.
  3. Enumerate services and versions.
  4. Research public documentation and known-safe references.
  5. Test one hypothesis at a time.
  6. Write down what changed and why.

Good habit

Separate observations from conclusions. A port scan result is an observation; an attack path is a hypothesis.
